SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DETERMINING RESOURCE STATE BASED ON BIOMETRIC EEG SIGNAL Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/476 A61B5/16

Abstract RU 2736804 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to a system and method for determining a resource state based on an EEG signal. System includes a signal reception unit (2), a primary signal processing unit (3), filtration units of primary processed signals (4, 5, 6), a unit for determining resource state (7) and a data output unit (11). In embodiments of technical solution availability of unit for personalization of resource state (12), unit for fixing deviation from normal state of user (13). In the method implementation, the EEG signal is obtained from the user's (1) neurointerface by the signal reception unit. Signal primary processing unit is connected to signal reception unit. Primary signal processing unit performs primary processing by spectral decomposition of the obtained signal into cerebral rhythms. Primary processed filtration units are connected to the signal primary processing unit. Using the filtration units, the signal is checked for interference and the primary converted signals are aggregated into groups. First group comprises left-right and right hemisphere alpha rhythms. Second group comprises left hemisphere theta rhythms, right-hemispheric alpha- and theta rhythms. Third group comprises left hemisphere beta rhythms. Determining the resource state by the resource state determining unit. Resource state determining unit is connected to the filtration units and is configured to determine the stress state correlate based on the extracted left-hemispheric and right hemisphere alpha rhythms, determining the correlate of the state of being involved or monotony based on the recovered left-hemispheric theta rhythms, right-hemispheric alpha- and theta rhythms, determining the concentration correlate based on the recovered left-half-pulse beta rhythms, normalizing the value of each parameter, determining an intermediate value of the resource state, normalizing the intermediate value of the resource state, and determining the resource state. Data output unit is connected to the resource state determining unit. Data output unit output data by providing user with obtained results. Stress condition determining module is configured to determine a stress state correlate by determining a frontal asymmetry, averaging the sum of leads on a sliding window, determining a standard deviation of the stress indicator and a global average stress indicator. Determination of state of entrainment or monotony is configured to determine correlate of state of entrainment or monotony by summation of primarily converted signals, averaging sum of lead on sliding window, determining standard deviation of absorption indicator or monotony and global average indicator of entrainment or monotony. Concentration module is configured to determine a correlate of the concentration state by evaluating frontal beta activity, averaging sum of lead on sliding window, determination of standard deviation of concentration indicator and global average concentration indicator.

EFFECT: higher reliability of determining current resource state due to higher accuracy of processing obtained data and expanded interpretation of data on brain activity of user in real time.
