METHOD FOR TRACKING PSYCHOEMOTIONAL STATES OF USER AND THEIR CORRECTION Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B5/374 A61B5/375 A61B5/16 G16H20/70

Abstract RU 2814781 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for tracking psychoemotional states of a user and their correction. Portable neural interface in the brain electroencephalogram (EEG) data acquisition mode performs user brain examination. Collected EEG data of the user are transmitted via a Bluetooth communication channel to a computing device for further processing. Computing device receives EEG data from the neuroamplifier, filters and preprocesses them by means of a fourth-order Butterworth filter. Filtered and preprocessed data are classified. To calculate psychoemotional and psychophysiological states, an individual calibration mechanism is used, during which the user goes through a cycle: 20 seconds of closed eyes, 20 seconds of open eyes, 20 seconds of closed eyes, 20 seconds of open eyes, 40 seconds of quiet wakefulness. During calibration the following values are calculated: value of individual peak of alpha rhythm (iAPF); alpha rhythm peak suppression value; individual boundaries of the alpha range; calculation of a base level of a cognitive fatigue index, a concentration index, an alpha-gravity index specific for a given user (Baseline). When calculating Baseline, values of rhythm power and their ratios are accumulated in a cyclic buffer with dimension of 5 seconds until accumulation of artefact-free values for total of 30 seconds. After calibration and calculation of an individual baseline, the values of the metrics with decoding are displayed to the user for monitoring. Based on the detected conditions, the user is presented with notifications with recommendations for completing the biofeedback trainings.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of tracking psychoemotional states of the user, as well as possibility of their correction.
