FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical means of traffic organization during operation of motor roads and can be used in road signs with light indication of inscriptions and symbols, including road signs of variable information. Traffic control device consists of a road sign body, formed by a conjugated frame front and rear panels; light indication elements; communication and control module. Module contains programmable logic device and associated with it GSM/GPRS cellular communication modem connected to antenna, internal power supply system as its elements. Light-emitting elements used are light-emitting diodes, which are mounted on edge printed circuit boards and speed limitation printed circuit board, which are connected to the outputs of the logic device of the communication-control module through a measuring sensor. Edge printed circuit boards and speed limits are installed inside traffic sign housing. Speed limitation circuit board comprises LEDs forming first and second information symbols. On front panel of road sign there are holes for arrangement of LEDs in each of them, which form the first and second information symbols together with polymer sealant.
EFFECT: improved operational characteristics of the device, as well as improved safety of road users.
