Method of wireless communication device operation in wireless communication network comprises the following stages: determining a carrier aggregation (CA) configuration for receiving a wireless communication device of multicast data on a plurality of carriers, such as a dedicated mode and/or a mixed mode type, the configuration of the CA is determined based on one of: a predetermined rule which determines limits for one or more acceptable characteristics for at least a portion of the plurality of carriers; wireless communication device apparatus which relates to receiving and decoding multicast data on a plurality of carriers; and a predetermined set of acceptable CA configurations; configuring a certain CA configuration in a wireless communication device and performing one or more work tasks in accordance with the configured CA configuration.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of using enhanced multicast multimedia broadcasting services using carrier aggregation technology in a network.
