FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of electric engineering, namely to power plants on fuel elements with solid polymer electrolyte, and can be used in portable / mobile power plants in conditions of negative ambient temperatures. Power plant for operation in conditions of negative temperatures includes battery of fuel elements, catalytic unit, cylinders with hydrogen and air, hydrogen and air supply lines from hoses and pipes, dosing valves, valves, thermometers, wherein recuperative heat exchanger, hydrogen and air cylinders are located in thermally insulated box, output of catalytic unit of hydrogen combustion is connected to cathodes of all fuel elements in battery, and line of hydrogen supply is connected to anodes of all fuel elements in battery.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is higher efficiency of power plant on fuel elements and reduction of power plant requirement in hydrogen for its heating in 2 times due to arrangement of fuel cells battery inside thermally insulated box with recuperative heat exchanger and catalytic unit of hydrogen combustion.
