FIELD: transport machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport machine building. Side glass for the vehicle has the first surface, the second surface opposite to this surface, the lower edge and the holding element installed in the area of the lower edge. Retaining member has an adjoining portion with an adjacent surface for attachment to the side glass and a fastening portion for attachment to the vehicle. Retaining element is fixed on side glass on one side due to that adjacent surface is connected by glue with first surface. Adhesive has thickness of at least 1 mm and module E of at least 150 MPa. Method of making side glass with retaining element for vehicle comprises steps of providing retaining element and fastening it to side glass in area of lower edge. Application of said side glass as opened vehicle side window.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and rigidity of glass installation.
