FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of determining temperature of Nernst measuring transducer and is used to measure partial pressure of oxygen in gas mixtures. At the same time the reference oxygen partial pressure is determined, relative to which the measurements are made. In the proposed technical solution, including bringing the measuring sensor to operating temperature by means of a heating device and analysis of the outlet voltage corresponding to the concentration of oxygen in the inert gas, which is output by the Nernst measuring element, the Nernst measuring element output voltage is measured for a series of different values of oxygen concentrations in calibration gas mixtures with known oxygen content. Values of the output voltage from the Nernst measuring element are analysed by the least-square method using the Nernst equation, which enables to accurately determine the partial pressure of oxygen in the analysed streams of inert gases using the Nernst equation using the values of the variable parameters determined as a result of the analysis.

EFFECT: technical result of claimed invention compared to known technical solutions is enabling more accurate measurement of oxygen content in gas mixtures.
