FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for quantitative analysis of the composition of a gas mixture, in particular of the atmosphere of containment (4) of a nuclear plant. According to the invention, measuring device (2) is provided, which comprises thermal conductivity detector (16) having a first measuring bridge, reaction heat detector (14) having a second measuring bridge, and common evaluation unit (26). Hydrogen (H2) content and at the same time oxygen (O2) content are determined in evaluation unit (26) based on the bridge voltages present at the two measuring bridges.

EFFECT: technical result is simpler and more reliable direct determination of physical parameters that characterise the ignition region and the combustion characteristics of gas mixtures.
