FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: rotary measuring support platform has the possibility of its longitudinal movement, and the axis of the wheel at its horizontal installation is fixed in the vertical hinged-rotary sleeve, providing the possibility of changing its position in the longitudinal vertical plane passing through the geometric center of the wheel, and measurement of longitudinal relative to rotation plane of wheel of movement of rotary measuring support platform, which creates in contact point longitudinal reaction of support surface, which is proportional to longitudinal loading force factor of inclined wheel, which is determined from the longitudinal force action sensor readings, and at vertical installation of wheel axle is fixed in horizontal hinged-rotary bushing, providing the possibility of changing its position in horizontal plane passing through geometrical center of wheel, and measurement of lateral relative to plane of rotation of rotation of rotary measuring support platform, creating in contact point lateral reaction of support surface, proportional to inclined wheel lateral loading force factor, which is determined from readings of side force sensor.

EFFECT: enabling determination of forces acting on the tested inclined or not inclined wheel on all coordinates and calculation of tire stiffness coefficients therefrom, which leads to broader functional capabilities of the method.
