FIELD: transport engineering; force metering facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of determining power factors acting onto vehicle wheels and it can be used at testing of automobiles. According to proposed method, hub and rim of wheel are connected by measuring beams and values related to power factors are subsequently measured. When determining power factor, relative displacements of rim and hub related to acting power factors are measured in at least three pairs of opposite points on radii of circumference with center coinciding with geometrical center of wheel, one point of pair belonging to rim, and the other, to hub. Then components of forces and torques causing measured relative displacements in system of coordinates corresponding to measuring beam are determined, and summary forces and torques acting onto hub are calculated as vector sum of all components of force and torques.
EFFECT: simplified design, reduced cost, improved accuracy of measurement.
