SUBSTANCE: individually packaged absorbent article or absorbent product. Absorbing article (1) includes femoral retaining part (H), which includes side area (10) protruding from edge of back side of body (8). Side area (10) includes a first protruding part (21), which includes a part having the largest width from the longitudinal central line (CL) of body (8), first recessed part (31) adjacent to rear end of first protruding part (21), and second recessed part (32) adjacent to front end of first protruding part (21). Absorbing article (1) is folded such that folding line (Y) outside is formed in lateral region (10) of femoral retaining part (H), and this folding line (Y) to the outside intersects with the edge of lateral region (10) of the femoral holding portion (H) in position between first bend point (F1) between first recessed portion (31) and first extending portion (21) and second bend point (F2) between first protruding portion (21) and second recessed portion (32) and is substantially perpendicular to longitudinal central line (CL).

EFFECT: disclosed are an individually packaged absorbent article, an absorbent product and a method for folding the absorbent product.
