FIELD: aviation; engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in aircraft engines. Method of detonation engine operation consists in fact that fuel components are supplied into annular combustion chamber (1), their mixing and combustion with creation of continuous rotating detonation wave with subsequent flow of combustion products into traction device. Fuel components are preliminary supplied to annular header (4), where they are mixed and supplied to annular combustion chamber (1) in radial direction to its axis. Exhaust of combustion products is carried out to axis of traction device with additional compression of combustion products due to their movement to axis and focusing of disturbances, reflected from traction device wall (11), and afterburning. Disclosed is an apparatus for realizing a method of operating a detonation engine.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of specific thrust and reliability of power plant operation.
