FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of aircraft engineering and concerns, in particular, experimental units intended for investigation of thermochemical fuel conversion and aerodynamic characteristics of combustion chambers of straight-flow air-jet engines (SFJE). Essence of invention consists in the fact that in test bench for studying working process in direct-flow combustion chamber, containing combustion chamber with air supply pipeline, air supply control system, thermochemical reactor connected to air supply pipeline for conversion of hydrocarbon fuel, and fuel supply system, air pressure regulator and Venturi tube are installed at thermochemical reactor inlet while thermochemical reactor outlet is connected with combustion chamber injectors. Thermochemical reactor comprises a flow-through gas-flame air heater and a converter connected to it with an additional Venturi tube, in which there are nozzles for supply of hydrocarbon fuel. Ratio of converter volume to area of critical section of injectors is and converter channel is divergent with total expansion angle equal to δ ≤ 5°.
EFFECT: experimental confirmation of efficiency of the proposed invention is obtained, in which the technical result is achieved due to control of the operating mode of the thermochemical reactor irrespective of the operation mode of the combustion chamber.
