FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: differential pressure gauge is used to measure pressure and pressure drop of air inside silo. Measurement is performed at layer of fixed thickness from 2.5 to 3.5 m, height of grain embankment from 5 to 20 m, size of cells of ventilation grid from 0.06 to 0.4 m, section of air discharge channels from 0.03 to 0.2 m2 in the process of venting, when the air supply from 9.0 to 11.0 m3/h × t.
EFFECT: invention enables to determine air filtration rate in metal silo, which provides longer storage life of grain.
