FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of low-tonnage chemistry, to the production of inorganic substances, in particular to methods of producing magnesium chloride of hexavalent. Method involves purification of natural raw material - bischofite by means of fractional precipitation of impurities, transfer of magnesium cations to sediment in form of basic magnesium carbonate, washing of sediment from extraneous ions, dissolving basic magnesium carbonate in hydrochloric acid, evaporation of solution and crystallisation of end product with subsequent separation from mother solution and drying.
EFFECT: high-technology, low-waste method of producing magnesium chloride from hexahedral natural material, which enables to obtain an end product of a given degree of purity.
