FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of making ignition means, according to which wood is cut into chucks; dumping chucks, peeling chucks on veneer, cutting veneer on wood fibre, performing swirling fibres of combustible wood material; paraffin is applied on fibres; dividing swirled fibres into parts of suitable length, where performing swirling fibres of combustible wood material on oiled wick, which is made of a series of interconnected hemp rope fibres, then fibres are filled in drum spindle, in which by twisting are formed in rope, forming bobbin from rope, bobbin is dipped into vessel with heated sunflower oil, bobbin is dried and sunflower oil is allowed to drain, after which the bobbin is covered from the outside with paraffin, wherein during production of ignition means, components are used in the following ratio: wood - 45–55 wt. %, sunflower oil - 20–30 wt. %, wick - 0.5–3 wt. %, wax is the rest.

EFFECT: technical result is manufacturing of ignition device, which allows increasing burning time of ignition means with increase in strength.
