ATRAUMATIC WOUND BANDAGE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61L15/34 A61L15/44 A61L15/48 A61F13/00

Abstract RU 2794883 C1

FIELD: medical devices.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to atraumatic wound dressings. The proposed atraumatic bandage is a textile carrier impregnated with a paraffin composition consisting of, wt.%: according to the first option: paraffin with a density of 880–915 kg/m3 48–67; liquid paraffin 15-35; tetradecylstearylstearate 4.5–12.5; an ester of a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid 1–6; according to the second option: paraffin with a density of 880–915 kg/m3 48–67; liquid paraffin 15–35; tetradecylstearylstearate 4.5–12.5; an ester of a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid 1–6; the medicinal product is not more than 15, while at least one of the following is used as an ester of a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid: glycerol oleate, pentaerythritol oleate (pentol), glycerol monostearate, glycerol trioleate, polyglyceryl-3-triolivat. As a medicine, in particular, an antimicrobial, anesthetic and/or proteolytic agent can be used.

EFFECT: exclusion of the paraffin composition getting on the wound surface due to the preservation of the structure of the paraffin layer at the temperature of the human body; improvement of the drainage functions of the bandage due to the low proportion (not more than 1%) closure of cells with paraffin during the production of dressings; no restrictions on the structure of the textile carrier, in particular on the size and height of the cells of the web, due to the crystallization of paraffin directly in the structure of the fibers; lack of fragmentation of the paraffin layer due to giving the paraffin composition affinity for water and increasing plasticity; ensuring the desorption of medicinal substances through the paraffin layer due to an increase in the affinity of the paraffin composition for water.
