FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering of organosilicon compounds. Disclosed is a method of producing α,ω-dihydroxypolydiorganosiloxanes by reacting cyclotrisiloxane with water in a liquid ammonia medium in an autoclave at temperature of 20 °C to 100 °C. Initial cyclotrisiloxane used is a compound of general formula (R1R2SiO)3, where R1 denotes CH3 and/or C6H5, and R2 denotes CH3.
EFFECT: technical result is a process method which enables to obtain α,ω-dihydroxypolydiorganosiloxanes with high output without use of organic solvents and allowing to regulate molecular weight of product.
