SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protective compositions based on polyurethane, which enables to protect metal surfaces from formation of pyrophoric deposits, and can be used in oil and gas industry, including for painting of metal surfaces. Substance of invention consists in combination of polyurethane resin with titanium dioxide at following ratio of components of protective composition, wt. pts: polyurethane resin 100; titanium dioxide 1.0–1.5; solvent P-4 20; hardener 26.

EFFECT: technical result is obtaining oil-and-petrol resistant coating with protective properties from formation of pyrophoric deposits and reduced corrosion rate of metal surface.
