SUBSTANCE: invention relates to road construction materials, particularly to production of a mixture of old asphalt concrete for use in making, repairing asphalt concrete pavement. In the method of producing polymer asphalt concrete mixture from milled old asphalt concrete or hot asphalt mixture, which includes heating of mixture in range of 160–180 °C, 20–60 % of crushed plastic household wastes - polyethylene terephthalate, or polypropylene, or their mixture consisting of fractions of not more than 5–10 mm are added.

EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a coating with improved physical and mechanical properties, specifically hardening of asphalt concrete coatings by using secondary plastic.
