FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical resources for development of world ocean resources and is intended for industrial extraction of polymetallic nodules located on surface of sea bottom in form of placers. Device for collection of polymetallic nodules contains ballast block rigidly fixed on central beam, accumulation bin, constant buoyancy block, displacement mechanisms and collection units. Collecting units are made as hingedly connected to the rod central beam with collection assemblies moving along them. Stands are equipped with elements of constant buoyancy. Ballast block is divided into radial segments. Constant buoyancy block and elements of constant buoyancy are made in the form of reservoirs filled with syntactic composite.

EFFECT: technical result is improved efficiency, reduced power consumption for round-trip operations, as well as reduced negative impact on environment.
