FIELD: biotechnology; medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a novel adrenomedullin derivative, a method for production thereof and use thereof in preventing or treating a cardiovascular disease, an inflammatory disease or peripheral vascular disease. What is presented is a compound which increases the intracellular concentration of cAMP represented by formula (I): A–CH2–B (I), where A is a modifying group containing one or more groups of polyethylene glycol with a defined molecular weight, and B is a peptide fragment derived from adrenomedullin or a modified form thereof with an adrenomedullin activity, where the peptide fragment B is linked to -CH2- through a covalent bond between the nitrogen atom of the N-terminal α-amino group of peptide fragment B and carbon atom of methylene group. Said compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or hydrate thereof is suitable for preventing or treating a cardiovascular disease, an inflammatory disease or peripheral vascular disease.
EFFECT: inventions allow elongating a blood half-life of an adrenomedullin derivative capable of substantially suppressing undesirable side reactions while maintaining pharmacological effects of adrenomedullin.
