FIELD: chemical or physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of dehydrogenating alkanes to corresponding alkenes and hydrogen (H2). Method involves contacting an alkane with a catalyst containing lead (II) sulphide (PbS) and supported on a support. Said catalyst is regenerated in several steps.
EFFECT: technical result is high activity, very slow reactivation after regeneration.
