FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing a modified biomass composition with high calorific value, comprising steps of: providing a biomass comprising cellulose, lignin and hemicellulose; effect on biomass of stage of extraction with hot water at specified temperature higher than 100 °C; continuing extraction with hot water to remove at least 50 wt % hemicelluloses from biomass and less than 10 wt % lignin to obtain extracted biomass; extraction of extracted biomass and action on warm extracted biomass of drying by pressing with obtaining biomass with dry substance content over 50 wt%, where biomass contains wood.
EFFECT: providing a new method of converting biomass into a mold suitable for use as fuel, as well as providing an increase in the calorific value of the biomass, such as fresh biomass, by reducing the content of water in it by pressing.
