FIELD: hygiene; electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to device (1) for performing personal hygiene operations on a subject. Device (1) comprises main body (3) retained in hand, drive unit (400) for arrangement and actuation of replaceable treatment nozzle (2) for personal hygiene, sensor (7) for measurement of current consumed by motor device (5, 6) during operation of drive unit (400). Device (1) also comprises control unit (8), functionally connected to sensor (7) and drive unit (400) and configured to control drive unit (400). Control unit (8) is configured to identify separate treatment nozzle (2) installed on drive unit (400), by comparing the measured motor current at a given measurement time (t1) with at least one preset current threshold value (C).
EFFECT: disclosed is a personal hygiene device.
