FIELD: devices for cutting hair.
SUBSTANCE: device for cutting hair comprises cutting element, motor to drive cutting element, current detector with current sensor and current manipulator. Current sensor detects motor current as a function of time and outputs current signal (U1) indicating measured motor current. Current manipulator comprises an evaluation unit. Current manipulator determines signal (U3) of time derivative of current signal (U1). Evaluation unit determines exceeding signal (U3) of time derivative or amplified signal (U4) of signal (U3) of time derivative of preset threshold value for detection of action on cutting of hair by cutting element.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the possibility of detecting the actual cutting action of hair by the cutting device of the hair cutting device at the current moment in time.
