FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in diagnostics of injuries and instability of scapholunate ligament. Prior to the X-ray examination, the patient with the carpal dynamometer is examined for the maximum compression force of the examined hand. Following X-ray examination is performed in the position of supination, elbow deviation and wrist compression by 50 % of the force detected on preliminary dynamometry. Obstruction of scapholunate diastasis 3 mm and more testifies to the injury.
EFFECT: method enables relieving patients of the pain experienced by them at full load on the wrist joint, enables detecting both static and dynamic instability of the wrist joint, makes it possible to control force of compression of analyzed hand due to combination of methods of proposed method.
