SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of forming surface coating, for example wallpaper or floor coating, and to surface coating forming device, into which material, which is initial for surface coating, is supplied, wherein initial for surface coating material includes substrate and layer of resin containing resin and liquid carrier, wherein the resin is dispersed in a liquid carrier and is capable of gelation or curing with a liquid carrier. Then, a pattern is applied on the resin layer by an ink jet method, Surface coating initial material with pattern formed on resin layer is heated for gelation or hardening of resin layer thus obtaining surface coating.
EFFECT: disclosed method provides high quality of printing.
