SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, to a method and a design for cleaning a holistic channel along a perimeter by means of a light guide conducting a laser beam, wherein the penetration of the laser beam into the light guide is interrupted when the free end of the light guide is outside the channel, and/or the movement of the light guide in the channel is monitored, and if there is no movement or movement less than the first threshold value, signal is switched on and/or laser radiation is switched off or its output power is reduced. At that, laser radiation switching-off or its reduction is controlled depending on at least one signal change and/or the second threshold value and/or changing the signal relative to the second threshold value determined during at least one time period beginning before and including the light guide penetration into the channel.
