SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. Transscleral 3-port 25G subtotal vitrectomy is performed. After painting the inner border membrane, it is removed within the vascular arcades, while leaving it around the macular rupture in the form of a ring attached along the rupture edge. Two incisions are made on the side of the optic disc and from the temporal side by means of retinal shears, reaching the edge of the macular hole. Formed by two free semi-rings of the internal border membrane attached to the edge of the macular rupture, the macular region is closed by alternately applying one petal on the other. Semirings of the internal border membrane are inserted into the macular rupture with a vitreal pincer. Performing tamponade of vitreal cavity with air.
EFFECT: method provides higher safety and effectiveness of treating large macular ruptures due to good adherence of semi-rings of internal border membrane in macular rupture.
