FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to emergency abdominal surgery. Haemostatic sponge from collagen and gauze tampons are placed in layers on a bleeding wound surface. Gauze tampons are laid one after another according to the principle of "shingles", stapling the end of one with the beginning of the other until providing tight packing. End of last tampon is brought out on anterior abdominal wall.
EFFECT: method enables increasing the effectiveness of using heavy tamponade of liver injuries with reducing the risk of bleeding recurrence when removing tampons without the need for repeated surgical intervention.
