FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to physiotherapy and traumatology, and can be used for treating compression fracture of vertebral bodies in children. Shock wave is exposed to posterior parts of injured vertebra. Intensity of shock wave action is selected depending on individual tolerability of the procedure by the child. Number of exposure pulses should not exceed 10 thousand per procedure; the procedures are performed with course of 5-10 procedures with an interval of not less than 3 days. Shock wave can be focused or defocused. Shock wave exposure can be applied to a spinous process of the vertebra or a spine of the vertebral body.
EFFECT: method provides more complete recovery of the compressed area of the vertebral body due to shock wave action in an individually selected mode.
