FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for cutting, straightening and covering of deformed CPS cores in length to SFA condition covers in conditions of STB storages, as well as devices for its implementation. In the disclosed method, a rectifying device is used, which is implemented in the form of a radiation-protective unit, which is installed above the cell of the CPS storage. Such a radiation-protected unit can be assembled in dimensions that allow its installation in the working area of the storage facility taking into account its confinement. Installation of a radiation-protected unit above the storage cell is also provided by means of adjustable hinged supports coaxially with the loading chamber cell. Further, a straightening device is installed on the loading chamber coaxially with it and into a centering funnel, in which the standard channel container is placed, said grab bucket grip is brought into the operating compartment via winch and rope through the holes of centering funnel and straightening device and automatically engaged with self-tapping screw. Then the clamping mechanism is disengaged, after which the remaining part of the rod is drawn using elongated cavities of the straightening device with the help of a winch, a rope and a grab-type grip and moved into the cavity of the standard channel container for further placement in the cell of the SFA jacket.
EFFECT: reduction of surface contamination of storage with radionuclides, minimization of radionuclide emissions into environment, as well as reduced absorbed dose of gamma radiation by service personnel due to shorter time for finding a rod of CPS outside the bag for SFA and eliminating spillage of neutron retardant when straightening and covering the deformed length CPS rods.
