SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Described is a group of inventions comprising an isolated antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof which is capable of binding to influenza B virus hemagglutinin (HA) and neutralizing influenza B virus in two phylogenetically different lines, recovered nucleic acid, coding said antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof, a vector for producing an antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof, a host cell, a method for producing an antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof, a composition for treating influenza B virus, antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof for use in preventing or treating infection caused by influenza B virus, antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof, for use in preventing or treating an infection caused by influenza A and influenza virus B, use of the antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof in preparing a medicament for preventing or treating an influenza B infection, use of the antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof in preparing a medicament for preventing or treating an infection caused by influenza A and influenza virus B, method for preventing or treating an infection caused by influenza B virus, a method for preventing or treating an infection caused by influenza A and influenza virus B, use of the antibody or fragment thereof for in vitro diagnosis of influenza B virus infection.
EFFECT: invention extends the range of agents for binding with haemagglutinin (HA) of influenza B virus.
