FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for in situ research and can be used for environmental monitoring and diagnostics of water bodies status by measurements of species concentration and state of photosynthesizing microalgae such as phytoplankton. Objective of the invention is to create a fiber-optic fluorometer with a submerged measuring module for rapid examination of the environmental state of water bodies, allowing to determine species composition and concentration of photosynthesizing microalgae (phytoplankton), as well as perform in real time both continuous and episodic investigations of phytoplankton of marine and freshwater reservoirs in a wide range of depths. Task is achieved due to that the submerged measuring module is additionally equipped with a thermal chamber, inside which there is a fiber-optic sensor of fluorescence and a temperature sensor. Temperature change in the heat chamber is carried out using controlled heating and cooling elements.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of measuring parameters and fluorescence of water both at natural temperature at measurement point, and at temperatures specified by heating or cooling water in heat chamber, which makes it possible to determine composition and concentration of separate types of microalgae.
