FIELD: automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. Tire stud (1, 1’) for fixation in vehicle pneumatic tire tread stud hole comprises tire stud housing (2, 2'), which has support flange (4, 4’), and rod (3) of tire stud from hard metal, which is fixed in insert (5, 5’), located in housing (2, 2') of tire stud, and end section (3a) of which extends beyond housing (2, 2’) of tire stud. Insert (5, 5’) comprises support part (5a, 5'a) forming support flange (4, 4'), and comprises rod holder (5b, 5'b), which holds rod (3) of tire stud, and wherein tire stud housing (2, 2’), if necessary, with the exception of insert (5, 5'), consists of non-metallic material which encloses support part (5a, 5'a) on support flange (4, 4’). At least lower part of support flange (4, 4’) to section of side surfaces of support flange (4, 4') is enclosed in rubber material, providing vibration damping, wherein at least part (7, 7'b) of tire stud housing (2, 2’), which directly adjoins tire stud rod (3) end section (3a) protruding beyond stud housing (2, 2') tire is made of material resistant to abrasion and cutting.

EFFECT: reduced wear of road pavement while maintaining good tire adhesion characteristics on ice-covered coatings.
