FIELD: vehicle tires.

SUBSTANCE: stud for attachment in the stud hole of pneumatic tire tread has stud housing (4) made of rubber, main part (2), which is located at least partially inside stud housing (4) and which consists of support flange (5) and rod holder (6), wherein stud rod (3) is fixed in the rod holder, rod protrudes by end part (3a) beyond housing (4) of the stud and, when stud is inserted into protector, beyond tread surface. End part (3a) is surrounded by rubber layer (7), and support flange (5) is coated with rubber layer (8). Support flange (5) and rod holder (6) are parts of oval or approximately oval shape in top view. Oval of rod holder (6) is displaced with rotation by 90° relative to support flange (5). Support flange (5) in top view has central width (b_F), and rod holder (6) on top view has length (l_P) and width (b_P). Stud housing (4) has round cylindrical structure and has diameter (D), which corresponds to central width (b_F) of support flange (5) or which deviates from said width (b_F) by value of up to 1.0 mm. Main part (6) has height (h) from 40 to 60 % of height (H) of stud. Ratio of length (l_P) to width (b_P) of holder (6) of rod of main part (6) ranges from 1.10 to 1.18.
