FIELD: medicine; surgery.

SUBSTANCE: to determine intraoperative blood loss before the operation, the patient is examined for blood pressure, pulse, hemoglobin, hematocrit, activated partial thromboplastin time (APTP), international normalized ratio (INR), dry medical items are weighed on electronic scales. During operation, arterial pressure, pulse, hemoglobin, hematocrit, number of erythrocytes, APTP, INR are evaluated at the moment of bleeding. During the operation, a vacuum aspirator is used for blood collection. After the blood loss on the electronic scales occurred during the operation, the blood products used for blood collection are weighed with patient's blood. By the difference in the weight of the products before and after the blood loss, the volume of blood lost by the patient is calculated, by summing the calculated volume with the blood volume collected by the vacuum aspirator.

EFFECT: method provides objective and coordinated determination of intraoperative blood loss for the purpose of the most effective recovery of the patient's lost blood volume.
