SUBSTANCE: described is a group of inventions comprising a compound having type 2 somatostatin receptor (SSTR2) receptor antagonist, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting type 2 somatostatin receptor activity, a method for inhibiting somatostatin type 2 receptor activity, a method for preventing or treating hypoglycaemia, a method of treating diabetes, using the compound or a salt thereof for inhibiting type 2 somatostatin receptor activity, use of the compound or a salt thereof for preparing a drug for inhibiting somatostatin type 2 receptor activity, using the compound or a salt thereof for preventing or treating hypoglycaemia, using the compound or a salt thereof for preparing a medicament for preventing or treating hypoglycemia, using the compound or a salt thereof for treating diabetes, use of the compound or a salt thereof for preparing a medicament for treating diabetes.
EFFECT: invention extends the range of agents having somatostatin receptor type 2 antagonist activity.
