FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to systems for modifying steel friction surfaces with application of friction and antifriction polymer additives on friction surface. Method of thermal coating and formation of functional film from materials of lubricating rod and its shell on surface of flange of wheel is carried out at friction of shell of lubricating rod made of metal, hardness of which is lower than hardness of wheel metal (Al, Cu, Fe, Pb), wherein thermal regulation in contact zone of thermal coating surface of wheel flange and process equipment (supply channel) is carried out by self-heating zone of thermal coating due to energy of frictional interaction of metal shell of rod and transfer of its part through metal shell to process equipment (supply channel).

EFFECT: higher reliability of mechanical systems.
