FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biological treatment of ore for separation or dressing. Method of identifying a bacterium capable of binding to a heavy metal in form of gold, silver, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, iridium, platinum and/or rare-earth metal, involves culturing the analysed bacteria in a container with a suitable first culture medium for a first period of time, with providing a suitable density of its cells. Part of the surface of the analysed tool, on which the heavy metal coating is applied, is immersed into the first medium for a second period of time sufficient to ensure attachment of the analysed bacteria to the immersed surface of the said instrument. Thereafter, the analysed instrument is removed from the container with the first culture medium. Surface of said tool is brought into contact with a second culture medium containing said metal for sowing said bacteria into a second culture medium when attached to the surface of said tool. Said analysed bacteria is identified from growth medium of analysed bacteria in said second culture medium.
EFFECT: method allows to increase ore dressing multiplicity.
