FIELD: production of polyethylene.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a multimodal polyethylene composition containing: (A) from 30 to 65 weight parts of a medium molecular weight polyethylene characterized by weight-average molecular weight (Mw) in the range from more than 90,000 to 150,000 g/mol; (B) 15 to 35 weight parts, first ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene, characterized by weight-average molecular weight (Mw) in the range of more than 1,000,000 to 5,000,000 g/mol; and (C) from 10 to 60 weight parts of second ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene, characterized by weight-average molecular weight (Mw) in the range from more than 1,000,000 to 5,000,000 g/mol, wherein Charpy impact strength at 23 °C for the multimodal polyethylene composition is at least 70 kJ/m2, preferably in range from 70 to 120 kJ/m2, and also to a sheet, containing composition of multimodal polyethylene, and to use of sheet as lining, profiles, parts of machines or industrial part.
EFFECT: multimodal polyethylene composition according to the invention has improved properties with respect to impact strength by Charpy and wear resistance with improved homogeneity and processing ability.
