FIELD: polymer compositions.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a composition of multimodal polyethylene for the production of a screw-on cap. The composition of multimodal polyethylene contains from 35 to 65 weight percent of low-molecular polyethylene, from 5 to 40 weight percent of the first high-molecular polyethylene or the first ultra-high-molecular polyethylene and from 20 to 60 weight percent of the second high-molecular polyethylene or the second ultra-high-molecular polyethylene, where the molecular-weight distribution of the composition of multimodal polyethylene is in the range from 10 to 25 according to the definition using gel-penetrating chromatography, the half-period of isothermal crystallization of the composition of multimodal polyethylene at a temperature of 123°C is 7 min or less in accordance with differential scanning calorimetry, and the fluidity length in a spiral mold at a temperature of 220°C is at least 200 mm.
EFFECT: improvement in the recyclability, fluidity, and rigidity of the polymer composition for producing caps.
