FIELD: machining of metals.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and a metal abrasive tool for electro-abrasive machining of a part. Proposed method comprises removal of finishing allowance from part billet at current direct polarity and metal abrasive tool straightening at reverse polarity of current. Removal of allowance is performed at direct stroke of metal abrasive tool with controlled supply to treatment zone of liquid working medium. After removal of allowance polarity of current is switched to reverse and simultaneously to treatment zone air jet is supplied in direction of flow between metal abrasive tool and processing zone of the workpiece of the liquid working medium under pressure higher than working medium pressure till its flowing out of processing zone termination. Metal abrasive tool comprises a housing and a slide valve to control the supply of liquid working medium to the treatment zone. Body is made of a low-melting current-conducting alloy and has the shape of a section for processing, which is inversed with the geometry of the processed part, and a uniform metal-abrasive coating. Coated housing has uniformly arranged mating channels of constant cross-section, and nozzle for supply of air jet is installed on the housing.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and quality of finish processing while reducing power consumption and amount of abrasive component in tool for electro-abrasive processing.
