FIELD: ventilation.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fan engineering with experimental optimization of radial fan impellers. Essence of the proposed method of impeller optimization consists in the fact that it is not the impeller itself that is directly optimized, but the axisymmetric radial vane apparatus which imitates absolute air flow in the impeller. Apparatus is optimized by static blowdown of its various versions alternately installed in fan casing instead of impeller. All geometric parameters of the optimum version of the apparatus, with the exception of the middle line of the blades, are considered to be optimal for the impeller. Optimum middle line of the impeller blades is found from the optimum central line of the blades of the apparatus by means of elementary calculations.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of labour intensity of impeller optimization due to reduction of labour intensity of manufacturing of objects of direct optimization due to that all embodiments of apparatus, unlike impeller embodiments, are made of cheap and easily processed non-structural materials; besides, the device does not need balancing, and its design can be dismountable, allowing bulkheads.
