FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical devices providing initiation of ammunition thrown from ballistic installation at fixed point of ballistic bench. It can be used for testing of ammunition for operation in a given target environment. Device for initiating ammunition for a ballistic test bench comprises a throwing ammunition consisting of an electrically conductive body equipped with an explosive charge, an electroconductive tip mounted on the insulator in the flight front of the body part and a high-precision electric detonator, one terminal of which is connected to the body and the other end is connected to the tip. Three sheets of electrically conductive material are installed perpendicularly to ammunition motion trajectory. Between the first and second sheets there is an air gap, the value of which is equal to distance between front edges of the tip and housing. Second and third sheets are installed so that the distance between them does not exceed the length of the tip. First and second sheets are connected to output terminals of high-voltage pulse generator, and second and third sheets are connected to input of galvanic isolation unit, which output is connected to starting input of high-voltage pulse generator.

EFFECT: technical result is high reliability of determining parameters of functioning of ammunition in conditions of ballistic bench, as well as providing safety of initiation system.
