SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method for assessing the risk of premature rupture of fetal membranes in pregnant women, involving a cervical epithelial scraping, assessing the local immune status based on real-time polymerase chain reaction analysis of cytokine gene mRNA expression level, wherein in pregnant women with a gestation period of 37 weeks or more, the expression levels of mRNAs of IL-18 and TLR-2 genes normalized to the reference B2M gene are determined; based on obtained results, risk of premature rupture of fetal membranes P is calculated by formula: P=1/1+e^{-(-0.92×X1+88.2×X2)}, where X1 is the level of mRNA expression of the Il-18 gene in relative units; X2 is TLR-2 gene mRNA expression level in relative units; if P is greater than or equal to 0.5, the risk is considered to be high; at P value less than 0.5 - as low.

EFFECT: invention enables assessing the risk of premature rupture of fetal membranes in pregnant women with a gestation period of 37 weeks or more.
