FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely obstetrics, and can be used to predict premature birth in women with isthmic-cervical insufficiency (ICI). The concentration of HMGB1 in the cervical mucus of women with ICI at the gestation period of 14-28 weeks is determined by enzyme immunoassay. With an HMGB1 level of more than 10 ng/ml, a high risk of premature birth is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of predicting premature birth with ICI with high accuracy, speed of execution using standard test systems, by determining the level of HMGB1 - BOX1-protein of the high mobility protein group in cervical mucus in women with ICI by a non-invasive method.
