SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at water reservoirs with head meliorative pumping stations in case of unforeseen drop of water surface marks. Installation for increasing cavitation margin of axial pumps comprises jet device. Device is made in the form of external and internal circular nozzles forming an annular slot, and is installed in front of flow input window into suction line of axial pump. Unit is equipped with centrifugal pump with drive, suction and pressure pipelines with gate valves and device for its filling and pontoon, on which listed elements are installed. Jet device is equipped with suction pipeline covering external and internal ring nozzles, and diffuser connected with suction pipeline of jet device. Circular slot is connected to discharge pipeline of centrifugal pump. Jet device is made with possibility to adjust its position along vertical and horizontal relative to suction opening of axial pump.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted water supply to irrigated areas.
