FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of elongated wire mesh by contact welding. Feeding device is intended for movement of group of longitudinal wires on stationary external frame (1), and unwinding device (6)—for unwinding wire for transverse wires (4) from bobbin (5) and for feeding said wire to passing across or a group of longitudinal wires above or below transmission device (6). Transverse wires (4) in turn are connected to longitudinal wires. Welding surfaces of electrodes (12) and counter electrodes (13) are pressed to each other at intermediate location of crossing places of transverse wires (4) and longitudinal wires. Upper electrodes (12) and lower counter electrodes (13) are located on frame (14), which periodically reciprocally moves in longitudinal direction. Upper electrodes (12) are installed on movable frame (14) with possibility of movement from upper position downwards in direction of crossing places adjacent to lower counter electrodes (13), and then up again. For each of welding points gripping pins are provided.
EFFECT: advantages of the invention are considerably less noise effect due to absence of multiple braking and acceleration of the mesh fabric and devices required for its movement.
